I will be the Guest Author at the grand opening of the newly expanded Pearl Buck Book Store in Doylestown, Pennsylvania on May 1st, 2010.  I will be signing books from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and again from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.


I spoke at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania on February 23, 2010

The talk went very well: here is an e mail I received after ward from the instructor:

“Thank you! Everyone enjoyed you so much. I have already received some great feedback. Your talk was so interesting, and your presentation is very professional. I will certainly pass your name on to others, and for a start to Friends of the Library in Doylestown. They are booked through June, but in the fall I know they would be pleased to have you. Meantime, I will see you again in April.”


I spoke to the combined junior and senior writing classes at the Quakertown Community High School on  February 23, 2010.


I will be a guest signer with Gone Away Into the Land at the Pearl Buck Writer’s and Reader’s Conference on April 10, 2010


I will be offering a course called How to Create Strong and Indelible Characters this summer session at Northampton Community College. Check the website for the summer class offerings.  I will post them when they are released.


I will be Signing Gone Away Into the Land at the LA Times Festival of Books in Los Angeles, Calif. on April 24th and 25th at UCLA.


I will be signing Gone Away into the Land at the New York Book Expo on May 25th -27th.


Wish me luck in the William Sayoyan International Prize for Writing given by Stamford University

Dear Jeffrey,

I’m a very emotional reader, in that the character’s heart motivation and mental perception is the element that most effects me when I read a story, such as yours. A reader can’t help but be plunged into the overload of fear-inspiring emotions and perceptions that give creation to John’s escape-world. Whether it was real or imagined didn’t really matter to me, because through John’s eyes, truth was what he experienced, and I along with him. These are some of the thoughts that prompted my review.

My Thoughts:

DEEP! THOUGHT-PROVOKING! ASTONISHING!
Those are just a few of the adjectives I’d begin to use to describe Jeffrey B. Allen’s mind-bending journey into the fantasy world of John Greber. But wait a minute. Is it really a fantasy? Parts of this story most definitely are. However, the reality and fantasy are so expertly entwined by the Author that life takes on a whole new realm of realism.
